Ananya Rajora

Hi, I’m Ananya.

I am a UX Researcher and Designer who believes that technology should be as human as the people who use it.

The Journey

My path into the world of design began at the intersection of logic and empathy. With M.S. Information Science with an HCI concentration, with a background in Computer Science, I’ve always been fascinated by how data structures influence human behavior.

Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Professional Studies at Cornell University, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. Here, I spend my time deconstructing complex digital systems to make them more accessible and equitable for everyone.

From coding backend architectures to conducting ethnographic field studies, my journey has been about understanding the “why” behind every click.

Design Philosophy

I bridge the gap between qualitative insights and interaction design. To me, a good design isn’t just one that looks beautiful; it’s one that respects the user’s cognitive load and honors their diverse lived experiences.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based creativity. I use rigorous research methods to uncover the friction points in a journey, then translate those findings into intuitive, high-fidelity prototypes.

Beyond Design

When I’m not in Figma or analyzing user interview transcripts, you can find me actively involved in community building. I’m passionate about mentorship and helping early-career designers find their voice in the industry.

Outside of design, I find inspiration in movement and culture. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Kathak, a traditional Indian classical dance form, which has deeply shaped my appreciation for rhythm, storytelling, and expression. Whether it’s dancing, travelling, or sketching, I enjoy exploring creative experiences that keep me curious and grounded.
